Awareness day on fungi and biodiversity
Awareness day on the importance of fungi in nature and for the generation of wealth in Extremadura, in which the opportunities for growing edible and medicinal mushrooms in the production of compost from the treatment of separated organic waste have been emphasized at home.

Girls, boys and monitors from the summer camp organized at the Sierra de Fuentes school have participated in this activity.
The day has been developed with dialogical readings and with a small nano-composting workshop. Thanks to these activities, we have influenced the importance of fungi for ecosystems, emphasizing the relationship of our species with the environment and the need and urgency to respect life in all its forms. The opportunities offered by the adequate separation of organic waste for the generation of compost and vermicompost, a first-class nutrient-rich food for our land, have also been emphasized.
