The activity has allowed students and teachers of this school to learn more about the importance of fungi and mushrooms for the health of ecosystems and people.

During the day we have shared simple cultivation techniques using different substrates for daily use and within the reach of anyone, such as coffee, cardboard or toilet paper. In this way, we have transmitted a clear message about the role of fungi in the decomposition of organic matter, facilitating an experience that has not ended there, on that journey. In fact, the inoculated mycelium has been adopted by the class that has observed its development throughout its entire vegetative growth phase. One of the students has systematized the study experience and prepared a document that is shared below in this section.
